Anyone and everyone wants to go out when the weather is perfect and the sky is clear, even the Opera.
Are you prepared to watch the Opera not in a theatre but on the beach?
Expect not just a large sandcastle on Coolangatta beach, families having fun on a picnic or kids playing as the sun sets while listening to stunning music waft across the beach. Specifically, expect to hear Mozart’s The Magic Flute as you sun bathe to your heart’s content.
Opera on the Beach is a production is co-presented by Opera Australia and Bleach Festival. The event stars a few of the finest singers in Australia, community choirs as well as the Gold Coast’s very own surf life saving clubs.
See and hear them fight the serpent, cast a spell on the guards as well as save the princess. Put your feet up, relax and sink your feet in the sand as you enjoy Opera on the Beach.
The event will take place on May 9 to 11, 2014 at Greenmount Beach SLSC, Marine Parade, Coolangatta. Opera on the Beach is a short drive from our Burleigh Heads Apartments.
